Me and You....22 weeks

Week 5-13

-These were ROUGH! I was soooo sick all day, everyday. I told geoff over and over that if this what pregnancy was going to be like, we may have reconsidered our plan for 12 children!

-I lost about 10lbs. I had a hard time eating consistently throughout the day, but for the most part if someone put a meal in front of me that I didn't have to pick out or smell it cooking...I usually could happily eat it.

-I HATED opening the fridge and would do everything in my power to avoid it...I swear I could smell EVERYTHING in it.

-Lots of celery and peanut butter and chocolate protien shakes.

-No no no cheese, spicy food smell, raw meat, or any meat in general

-It was interesting how many things would sound good once and then immediately after enjoying them I would decide NEVER to have it again. lol

-Boy oh Boy am I glad those first few weeks have passed! And I have true sympathy for any momma to be going trying to survive on saltines and 7-up.

~13 weeks~

14-22 Weeks
-Ahhhhh the energy, the appetite, the baby kicks, SO happy to hit the 2nd trimester!!!!

-I think I first felt baby fluttering in the first week of April. I was laying on my right side and all of a sudden, i felt three quick tickles that traveled from bottom up. TOO COOL!!!

-Just this last week, week 20, Geoff came home from shift and was sitting on the bed talking to me. I put his hand on my belly when I felt movement and we waited and waited...and then WHAM big 'ol kick! I absolutely adore the expression that came over Geoff's face. Such a sweet and prideful smile. He says that it wasn't a kick, it was a punch because "we don't grow soccer fairies" lol....silly boy!

-I LOVE Watermelon and chocolate milk....Cannot.Get.Enough.

-I haven't really had any desire for icecreams, pasteries, or sweet like that, but have definitely preferred sour candies over chocolates if the opportunity presents itself.

-I am such a happier person to be back to a somewhat regular workout schedule. It was so hard in the previous weeks, but now we are running and/or bootcamp class 3-4+ times a week. Everytime I start to slow down I tell myself "shorter labor, shorter labor, sssssshhhhooorrter labbbbbbor" . Maybe I am setting myself up to have a baby that needs to be constantly rocked/bounced with all this bouncing I'm doing...I don't know.

-We came to a conclusion on names pretty early on, and haven't had anything strike us as a better choice so far....still haven't decided if we are anncouncing them or finding out the gender yet.

-Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!!!!! How does one navigate through all these features, conversions, materials...not to mention colors and patterns?!?!? It exhausting, but at least we KNOW at the end of the day, baby doesn't really need all that much.

~20 weeks~ sorry for the bedhead pictures...maybe someday I'll get a good one...

We are so grateful for the blessing God has bestowed upon us! What a crazy beautiful journey....and really, it hasn't even begun!

To my Big Hunk....

Geoff was on shift the day I found out I was pregnant, but I couldn't bring myself to tell him on the phone because I wanted to be able to really soak in the moment and see his face expression.

So I tried to play cool when he would call, and I gathered the supplies I needed. Almost every store was closed by the time I finished staring at all FIVE positive tests, so a "daddy" onsie or something cute like that was out...and I didn't really feel like handing him a pee stick was exactly "cute" either.....SO...this is what was waiting for him when he arrived home the next morning.

To my (Big Hunk), Your (Swedish Fish) plus my (Cadbury Eggs) = (Sugar Babies). I hope this gives you a (Reisen) to smile! Love you forever, your (Sweetarts)!

ps (Look) Here for proof!

....He knew instantly (He says the Sugar Babies gave it away), but it was such a sweet (no pun intended) moment! He hugged me and said "really!?!! Really?! REALLY!!" like a hundred times with a HUGE smile on his face.

I wanted to wait until I was 10+ weeks along before we told anyone, so Geoff held it in for as long as he could by telling people things like "I have REALLY good news.....I just cant tell you yet!" lol Thanks babe, cause THAT won't be obvious!
