Sid, the officiant and Dorian flew all the way out from Connecticut to preform the ceremony...they have to be one of the funniest couples I know!

How cute are these pictures his mom had set up everywhere??

We had a great time giving toasts and roasts to the Soon-to-Be's and then moved over to the Caberet Lounge for a cross-dressing, Country Western music show. Trust me, I was a skeptic but it was actually really funny!
Here we are with all the, eehhh, ladies?
From there, we danced the night away and celebrated with new friends

Okay, too tired to upload anymore pictures tonight! Guess this is good enough for now! Sweet Dreams everyone!

Dangerous Women...

I highly recommend you, my friends, read this Commencement Address! I found such encouragement, inspiration, and a new found passion for being a "dangerous" woman for Christ and for my family in this speech. I started trying to pull out some quotes, but it is just too packed with good stuff...you have to read it all!

I wish I would've had this in my arsenal during my Rhetoric of the Feminist Movement class! Actually, maybe not.. I probably would've failed the class and not graduated :)

I hope you find as much encouragement out of this as I did! It is a little bit lengthy, put powerful, and worth reading every word!!! Happy Reading!!!!!

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!!

A Labor Day Weekend of L♥VE..

Be Prepared..This is going to be a looong post :) My beautiful, amazing older sister got married last weekend in an intimate ceremony at a gorgeous winery along the Umpqua River. It was absolutely perfect for capturing both of their fun-loving personalities. Here are some of the weekend events leading up to Saturday's ceremony and reception...

We kicked off the weekend with a barbecue a the Jones' Home. Complete with Mr. Jones' famous pulled pork, southern baked beans, and coleslaw. IT WAS DELICIOUS!
The Soon-to-Be's: Love the boots!
My Dad with his "grown up and married" girls..aww tear ;)

Grandma and Grandpa Clark celebrating 52 years of marriage this month <3 Jessica, Laura (sister-in-law to be), and bridesmaid Jen from Connecticut
Grant's Dad and my sister's new adorable niece Lilly, note the cute bib
Dad, Grant, and Robby (brother in law to be)
I don't feel like I got great pictures at the barbecue because I was to distracted visiting with so many new and old friends. Oh well...

After the barbecue settled down, the girls and I stole the Bride to Be away for some bachelorette fun. Jess was allowed to open the first present containing her "attire" only; she was then told that she had some missions to complete before she could open the rest. :)

She taught the Hokey Pokey
She asked a grocery store clerk to recommend the best..um..moistener? lol
The Girls (yes, we all piled into one suburban)
Jess even asked the Blockbuster guy what "movie" he would recommend for newlyweds..SO FUNNY!! Hahahaa His answer: One Night In Dallas! AWKWARD!
This was after she sang "Like a Virgin" at a local bar...She was a trooper!
These were just a few of the Many missions we had for her!
We laughed a ton and concluded our night with a glass of wine and desserts back at the Jones' before all the tired travelers crashed for the night.

Card Boxes

My friend Natasha and I made card boxes together for our weddings this last year, so I was very excited to get to make another one for my sister's wedding. I love our card box because it is a fun keepsake and I like going through the cards in it every once in a while to read through some of the well wishes and marital advice we were given...and sometimes I search for money "just in case" I missed some somewhere in an envelope or something ;) Sort of kidding...
Anyway, here is a picture of Geoff and I's box followed by a picture of Jess and Grant's box. I hope they enjoy theirs as much as we do ours!

I finally found a teal ribbon that I like the day before their wedding, so it looked MUCH better with more color.

Where the green grass grows..

I'm gonna live where the green grass grows
Watchin' my corn pop up in rows
Every night be tucked in close to you
Raise our kids where the good Lord's blessed
Point our rocking chairs towards the west
Plant our dreams where the peaceful river flows
Where the green grass grows

Here are some pictures from this summer's adventures at "The Kirkendall's Funny Farm in Roseburg" :)

Before some serious paca-scaping...

"The shoot"
Such a stinker! He was being a total drama king and would NOT stand up!
Allan having a heart to heart with this precious guy
Geoff the got the "good" end :) Considering Alpacas spit just like Llamas, its actually not the worst place to be! lol
They have gorgeous big brown eyes!
So fresh! So clean!
Anyone want this Rooster? Anyone, anyone?!?!?! Its not like he tries to karate kick you every time you go near him, really he doesn't....okay, thats a lie, but he will taste good lol
And MOST importantly....Introducing the one and only Princess: Dinger!

We love spending time with Allan & Sheryl and pretending to be farmers on the Funny Farm; and we LOVE the fresh produce and eggs Geoff's mom so generously shares with us!

Are these cool!?!? They are onion blooms! They make awesome table arrangements, especially if you have a really tall vase and can keep the stems long (I let my sister borrow mine so these ones had to be chopped. tear)

This made me proud today...

Go Brother Go Brother!!! On the ROSTER!! Can't wait for football season to start next week!

Happy Birthday to my Siblings in Law and Love!!!

I am blessed with two siblings in law...Is that how you'd say that? Anyway, they both made it very easy for me by deciding to share a birthday :)

Andrea, Geoff's older sister, is such a sweet lady that I am so blessed to call my sister. She has been so encouraging and showered me with love! I am grateful to have gained a sister this year who loves Christ and puts Him first in her life. She is such a blessing in our lives!!!

One of the first things that I loved about Geoff was how much he cherished his relationship with his sister. Everytime they got off the phone he told her he loved her, and it made me pray that some day my brother and I can be as close as they are :) He has told me over and over again how thankful he is to have a sister that has always been patient and loving with him even when he was a self-proclaimed "high school punk".

Happy Birthday Andrea!!!!! We love you!!!

And also...A Happy Birthday to my awesome brother to be, Grantifer
Next weekend, my sister is marrying one of the coolest guys I know! I am so excited for them to start their life together because I know God is going to use them in mighty ways! Grant's tender heart and willingness to serve anyone in any way he can is incredible.
As my sister and Grant were packing to move to Oklahoma, I tried to conceal my tears. Apparently I didn't do a good job because Grant immediately came over to give me a big hug and promise me that he would take really good care of my sister. I love Grant because I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is true to his word. He is a much needed addition to our family and I CANNOT Wait to see my sister and him next week for their wedding.
Happy Birthday Grant!!!
